Brio Tuscan Grille rolled out its new summer menu on June 27 to feature more grilled items we all love during the summer months. The new menu features more grilled steak selections, grilled fish and even grilled pork chops. In addition, the new menu allows customers to make side selections instead of having them pre-selected, adding to the flexibility of the new menu. A new menu – new look – new feel. What else could you ask for?
“We wanted to get back to how we started. We are a Tuscan Grille, not just pasta,” said Sous Chef Bobby Calhoun. “We added more sizes to the steaks, delicious new sides, changed the menu look and are now offering The Art of Grilling- a three course menu.”
The three course menu allows customers to choice a soup or salad, an entree and a dessert for one reasonable price. I ordered the Chef’s Catch of the Day, Fingerling potatoes Brio and a side salad. The fish was grilled to perfection- preserving the moisture inside and allowed just a tad bit of crunchy grilled goodness on the outside. It was delicious. A new item for me was the potatoes. This new addition is something to die for. If you love garlic, then these are the potatoes for you. The small fingerlike potatoes are served piping hot in a small iron skillet, bubbling with garlic, cheese and a warmed up balsamic dressing drizzled on top. I can’t even write this without my mouth watering for more. I think you will feel the same once you try them.
“The one new item that really surprised us was the maple balsamic brussels sprouts,” Sous Chef Calhoun said. “We didn’t expect them to be so popular, but people love them.”
My husband ordered the New York strip steak, the same potatoes, but instead of the salad, he ordered the lobster bisque. I normally don’t like lobster in Ohio because I feel its usually too fishy smelling and rough. So, I wasn’t too keen on tasting it. Wow, was I surprised! It tasted as if I were at an oceanside cafe eating lobster fresh from the boat. It wasn’t fishy at all. It wasn’t rubbery and it was delicious. I won’t pass up the opportunity of getting it next time.
