Will things get better?

As the news has been reporting frequently, the heroin overdose epidemic is again a major issue. Everyone should be on alert and pay attention to loved ones for irregular behavior.

In 2014, Montgomery County/ Dayton had the highest death rate for heroin overdose in the country. In 2015, Dayton fell to #2 and now they are on track in 2016 to be #1 again.

This has reached epidemic proposition. A representative of State Representative Rick Perales has been attending city council meetings throughout the area passing out copies of a legislation that is currently being introduced in Washington D.C. at the federal level to try to help with this issue.

“We want to educate, educate and educate about this issue so everyone knows what a huge problem it is,” the representative said.

Look for things to change for the better soon.
