This holiday season, helping feed the hungry is as easy as a key stroke and doesn’t cost a penny more. By utilizing your Kroger Plus Shopper’s Card or the Amazon Smile Card when shopping for groceries and more, money will be donated to the Hope House Mission to help feed the hungry in the community you live- throughout the Ohio region.
Hope House Mission is a faith based ministry, serving homeless men, women and children. Hope House is much more than an emergency shelter, it provides comprehensive programs and services designed to promote long-term, sustainable life transformation. It provides physical, emotional, mental and spiritual resources.
Hope House currently houses more than 90 men, women, and children at two separate facilities. In addition, 160 meals are served to the homeless in need. Often, a meal served with kindness is the first step on the road to recovery for hurting men and women. Just $1.92 is all it takes to give a warm meal and care to the hungry, homeless and hurting person.
The goal of the Hope House Mission is to eliminate homelessness in the area, which has significantly dropped within the past five years. Hopefully, with its programs, the homelessness rates will continue on the decline.
According to Hope House Mission, the donation means more than a meal, it is hope.
