If you love the Sauerkraut Festival because of the Sauerkraut pizza, then you will love this place. Order Sauerkraut pizza year round and much more. The Upstairs Sports Bar & Grill is located on the same property where the old golf course was located. Now, only the bar & grill remains- aside from the amazing view from the back wall and outside patio.
The menu offers a wide variety of items ranging from delicious chicken wings, mouth watering onion rings to pizza, burgers and daily specials including spaghetti dinners. It also offers a wide variety of different beers – especially ones from local breweries.
It’s known as a biker’s bar, but don’t let that keep you away. It’s a very nice place to watch sporting events or grab a couple of games of trivia. They offer high tops and regular tables for large parties. On the weekends, it offers live local bands that will keep the evening hopping when other area bars are closed for the night. It’s about the only place in Waynesville that stays open past 11 p.m. on the weekends.
It’s a great place for regulars and a place where everyone knows everyone. It makes you feel welcome and wanted. Service and staff are wonderful. My husband loves watching sports and I’ll bring my laptop and sit and write for hours and no one says a thing. So, that’s a great thing.

(Tip: the bar is not easily seen from the main road. It’s easy to pass. Look for the sign at the road.)
**One downside, it is not handicap accessible. Like the name – it’s upstairs. After having surgery, I couldn’t visit for months until I could walk up stairs again. As far as I know, the stairs are the only way to get to the bar & grill and the restrooms are in the basement.
