Trump has been wishy washy on his views of legalizing marijuana but did say numerous times that legalization would be a good idea, especially medical marijuana use. He acknowledged that the use of it does help people that are in pain or fighting a number of ailments.
But when pressed for a certain opinion he stumbles, “there’s another problem… the book isn’t written on it yet, but there’s a lot of difficulty in terms of illness and what’s going on with the brain and the mind, and what it’s doing… it’s coming out, probably, over the next year or so.”
So, during the inauguration ceremony a group of advocates are going to help him face the issue in their own way. An advocate group for marijuana legalization are planning on handing out joints.
Beginning at 8 a.m. on January 20 on the west side of Dupont Circle, DCMJ will be handing out over 4,200 “little smoking sticks” to all willing participants then talk a happy stroll to the National Mall – but they won’t light up yet.
DCMJ founder Adam Eidinger stating that after about four minutes into President Trump’s speech, the “little smoking sticks” will be lit and the smoking will begin.
Why will this happen? The idea is to help persuade the legalization of weed everywhere.
So, how will be in line for a free joint? This will be the most interesting and exciting inauguration ever!
When will Ohio be legalized for either medical or recreational use? How will you vote?
*Note: the distribution of the weed is legal as long as it’s on District of Columbia land. But, those caught smoking on federal property are at risk of being arrested and prosecuted.
