Sunday, September 17th marks the start of the 2nd Annual Artfest at the Community Park at the intersection of Factory Rd. and RT 35 in Beavercreek- the Girl Scout Park, along Creekside bike path. If you missed it last year, then this is your chance to catch and experience one of the largest art shows in the area. The Artfest begins at 11 a.m. and runs through 5 p.m.
This event is very different than any other type of Art festivals. It not only recognizes all types of arts, crafts and specialties, but also offers love interactive activities, art stations, demonstrations and the space to enjoy nature while having a picnic in the park, enjoying the wonderful pond and walking paths.
In addition to booths with crafts for sale, this event will offer food trucks such as Beavercreek Pizza Dive; Zombie Dogz; Pa’s Pork; Cake, Hope & Love (who could pass up a good cupcake during a festival – not this girl!); as well as many more.
Live music and dancing will be on the main stage throughout the event. Some of the performers include Katie Humble; Celtic Academy of Irish Dance; Joseph Glenn and many more.
Special free demonstrations and interactions include nature painting, painting pumpkins, peace signs and flowers. Others include science fun and kid activities. There is something for everyone of all ages.
Chalk artists will show off their talents throughout the park and visitors will have a chance to vote for their favorites and a winner will be announced at the end of the day.
Items for sale will include things like paintings, photography, wood pieces, rugs, ceramics, t-shirts and much more.
Local businesses will be on hand to showcase their products and services. Businesses such as This Old Couch, Beavercreek Arts Department, Owen’s Place, and Needle Ink & Thread. Which will be your favorite?
Can’t wait to see you there!
