This is the Darryl Strawberry that we have all grown to love. With four World Series titles under his belt, while playing for the New York Mets and New York Yankees, and is a 2010 Hall of Fame Inductee, it’s an accomplishment many professional baseball players have not achieved.
But, with fame comes the temptation of drugs, women and other things like jail time. Like many athletes, these things are just part of their lifestyle and can easily get out of control, like did with Darryl Strawberry. But, who could predict that through addictions, abuse, divorces, two bought of cancer, and jail time, Darryl Strawberry and his wife, Tracy would start a ministry to help others overcome these issues to become God loving individuals. Well, that’s what happened.
In 2011, Darryl and Tracy Strawberry began Strawberry Ministries.
They are now teaming up with Harvest Recovery Ministries and the Ohio Attorney General’s office to help with the epidemic of drugs and overdoses around the Miami Valley.
