A friend and I visited Brothers Bar & Grill while on our way to visit the North Market for the first time. It was Cinco De Mayo and only 11:30 in the morning, so there was hardly anyone in there, but the employees were getting ready for a busy night.
Brothers Bar offers the typical bar food- chicken wings, burgers, wraps, etc. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with the kettle chips and my friend ordered chicken wings. We both drank water- so nothing too elaborate or crazy.
The food came out fast and was delicious. My chicken sandwich was moist (the chicken was moist and not dry) and the bun was delicious. The chips- I didn’t like. But, then again, I’m not a fan of the homemade kettle chips to begin with. So, I’m sure that if you like that sort of thing, you probably would like them. But, my friend’s wings were huge and delicious. The sauce was just enough to be tasty but not messy. They were perfect.
The waitress (I think she was a girl – couldn’t really tell) went above and beyond expected to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable. She was amazing.
We sat inside, but they have a huge outdoor seating area that looked fun for younger people. A band was setting up and a blow up surf board bouncy house thing was also set up outside and girls were having the time of their life on that. It was fun to watch.
All in all, it was a great place to get away from the crowd of the market area. It was quiet, relaxing and a great place to get out of the heat. It’s perfectly located – across the street from the backside of the North Market and the main parking garage.
I would definitely return if went back to The North Market.
