Summer is winding down, but there are still a ton of great events going on around the area. This weekend enjoy the following events:

Fairborn Sweet Corn Festival

Dates: August 19-20; Sat. 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sun. 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Enjoy the 36th Annual Sweet Corn Festival and over 180 booths offering handmade arts and crafts. The best thing about this festival is the never-ending offerings of corn-on-the-cob and freshly cut watermelon. This festival has a full schedule including a corn eating contest and live music.

Yoga in the Park
Riverscape MetroPark

Dayton
Dates: August 19; 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Only a few more free yoga classes in the park for the season. Enjoy a morning stretching and relaxing with the skills of Tori Reynolds. No registration required. Just bring a mat, water bottle and an open mind and willingness to feel free. This is event is open to individuals of all ages.

Tomfoolery Outdoors Dayton Beer Miler 
Dayton Beer Company

Dayton
Dates: August 19; 1 p.m.
Cost: $40 per person- registration required prior to event here.
This 3rd Annual miler kicks off Dayton’s beer week with this unique way to quench your thirst with ice cold beer. This event allows for four loops totaling approximately 1/4 a mile. After completing each loop, you receive a beer. At the finish line, Dayton Beer Company will celebrate with a party, music, food trucks and a flowing stream of all the beer desired.

Date: August 19; 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Only a few more left for the summer. This free market is just around the corner from the Findley Market and is something very unique to the local area. Vendors from all over Ohio come together to offer shoppers the best in handmade and vintage products, with each booth as different as the next. This month, there will also be a special market just for the kiddos. Check it out. Come hungry because the streets will be lined up with some of the best food trucks in the area. Live music is also offered.

Bacon Fest 2017
The Fraze Pavilion
695 Lincoln Park Blvd.
Kettering
Date: August 20; 1 p.m.
Love bacon? Then this is your event. It will offer food trucks that say everything is better with a sprinkle of bacon. In addition to the crisp bacon, The Fraze will be offering live music from The Muleskinner Band, Buzzard Kings, and Spinning Jenny. Bring lawn chairs and shoes that are easily removed so you can dip your toes into the fountain.
