When I first heard that Waynesville was getting another coffee shop, I thought, Really?? Do we really need another coffee place? First of all, I don’t drink coffee, but they do offer tea and hot chocolate. But, when I heard that they were offering gelato, I was sold- even though Waynesville already has a number of places that offers ice cream.
Gelato is really hard to find in this area – unless you go to Cincinnati, you won’t find it offered around here. See Mo Sabe creates delicious flavors that are unique to this location- each flavor as different and rich as the next. The gelato is offered in two different sizes and seems more than what it appears.
Interesting story about the owner and this new business. I spoke with him a couple of weeks ago – nice, nice man. He said that when he named the establishment, he picked Kee Mo Sabe because that’s what his dad would call him. The logo for the coffee shop comes from his family crest and demonstrates a bound between family and work ethic – could be a better fit?
The best part about the coffee shop, aside from the baked goods, coffee, teas, and gelato, is that the establishment is opened late- which is hard to find in the small village of Waynesville and they have free hi-speed wifi available for customers- which is also something unique to this area.
The decor is retro and comfortable. The fireplace will be a nice addition in the winter months and the comfortable couches and chairs add that “coffee shop” feel. I look forward to stopping in and doing some writing and people watching soon.
Nestled in the lobby of the Cobblestone Cafe, it’s in situated in the gift shop that was usually only open during the restaurant’s working hours, but now is open when the coffee shop is. So, making purchases for the holidays or a last minute gift is easier than ever.
The cafe is also offering special events such as wine tastings, painting nights, live music and more. Just keep up with their Facebook page for all special events.
I only wish they opened earlier – prior to work- so I could stop in and get a tea. But, maybe in the future that might be an option.
